''An Old Movie''
A black and white butterfly with an orange accent and several blue ones in a Lavandula field was an inspiring moment. Thankfully he didn't move as I took my time to fit the macro lens on. It kindly stood there and waited while I was hurrying up not to miss this brief but beautiful moment in time and space. Photography is very much about that but not entirely. ;)
I love the wings. They are as if from a black and white movie, while the rest is from a colour one. Green in the background works nicely with the flowers and the attention is on the least colourful element. Interesting, eh? We cannot see the head or the body of the butterfly. It is a nice touch. With the whole body and head, it wouldn't appear as magical as it does. That way, it would be more in the science domain, less in the field of art.
I know its a long shot and it's not the same butterfly but something about it reminds me of the idea of freedom from 'Papillon' with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. If you're not old enough to know exactly what I'm talking about, please google. :D

Nature as it's best, It is rare to witness this kinda beautiful scene, But still it happens, and yes you found this moment, Glad to see she didn't fly away, as you said you waited for some time to change the camera and she sits there for you :p hahaha especially for you, and then you set the micro camera and you captured this beauty. look at the colors, Black and white is a perfect combination for anything and the little touch of orange is looking more beautiful, It's it's not the white color of his wings, it is the creamy color. a fantastic shot! How do you manage to receive such wonderful moments? :) However, you always find so many beautiful things around you. This talent is difficult for modern people to teach.
I really like macro focusing. This shows us many details that we will not be able to see at the usual glance. Details and colors - that's what matters. Especially it allows you to feel the warm summer motive. Indeed, limited visibility creates a magical effect. And of course I like that you associate it with this old and relevant film. You associate it with freedom. Freedom is what's inside of us all.

Wings must be free to fly regardless of any classification even for a birds or a human beings!
A person may use his or her skills if he/she is free to fly to attain its goals!
Feel yourself free to fly for achievement of yours goals - be like a butterfly to go to the flowers and take whatever you desire.

Your beautiful shot looks like a painting. It reminds me of a zebra coat. And then that stain of color on the wing looks like a big eye. My compliments.
I will have to google I believe that old is gold.because I love wings too.I would like to see butterfly in black and white shades.this butterfly although not looking with full parts but having a beautiful impact on this photograph.flowers in garden are looking beautiful too.the complete photograph is an outstanding piece of art.
The Macro lens focus is indeed amazing i can hardly imagine from where you took that photograph and focused right on the beautiful butterfly and where it is flying the flower focus too.
Indeed a very beautiful click in a short time kind of looks like it stopped just for you to take photographs.
