'Blue Butterfly Sorcery'
This fantasy-oriented photograph could easily be a moment from a fairy-tale world or a scene from a film. To me, it feels like giant blue, purple and green butterflies filled the sky presenting themselves in front of a mesmerized crowd. What brings a strong fantasy feeling is the element of the cathedral and accompanying buildings in the background. It may also appear as if the whole sky is full of some mysterious sorcery.
The huge blue wings arched over and filling the dark sky consist of very relaxed deep blue and the very light part which creates quite a bit of dynamics, overall. I think it is easy to feel it. This light area takes the observers attention away from the cathedral and really brings itself forward to the centre of attention. Even though it is the lightest part of the photograph, to me it appears to be a 'linear dark omen'. Its lightness very aggressively goes against the rest of this quite serene composition.
I particularly like how the 'small butterflies' beautifully envelop the cathedral, assigning it an important role but still leaving it in the background with secondary importance. Whatever this dreamy scene full of wizardry it makes you feel, please note that it is a double exposure which was done in-camera during the night. It was not composited in Photoshop.

This is a fascinating photograph. I like the effect that occurs when viewing a photo. It seems like a "huge butterfly" (and not a little :)) envelops the cathedral. This is an unusual feeling that leaves pleasant feelings.
The blue color in the photo creates a more dynamic feeling. The photo looks moving and dynamic. I think that it is in the perception of color. The blue color seems to be more cold and active for the person.
I read that the blue color is perceived individually. For some, it looks aggressive, and for some it's more friendly. But the fact is that psychologists recommend using this color in rooms where important negotiations are held. It helps people make right and informed decisions. That is, he makes the thoughts more clear.
I liked this photo. It looks unusual and captures attention. And it also creates the effect of mystery. Thank you!

The little may contrast with the great, in painting, but cannot be said to be contrary to it. Oppositions of colors contrast; but there are also colors contrary to each other, that is, which produce an ill effect because they shock the eye when brought very near it.

Stunning @velimir - I quite like how the light hitting the one butterfly wing almost has that "powdery dust like look" which you DO in fact get on butterfly wings.
I love the colour. Purple has always been my favourite colour. It looks as though they are fluttering down onto the people and are about to cover them. It could be a scene out of a Disney movie.
