'Early Winter Evening'
An early winter evening inspired me to take this photograph. This unconventional garden full of many different objects appeared as if taken out of some horror story. The withered plants, pots covered in snow, unavoidable pumpkin and the small weird details triggered my imagination. It would nicely serve as a location for some weird movie. :D
The overall bluish darkness of the early evening is interrupted with orange details. Where one would expect another pot, the carved out pumpkin appears. The whiteness of the snow working together with the whiteness of the house in the background, together with purposely low contrast emits a vibe of strangeness, uncertainty maybe even a respect for the unknown. Linearity plays a big role here.
Notice the unsharp areas that deliberately soften the image and play for the side of decreasing the drama, not enhancing the dynamics. It actually makes the image feel off and vague. It is exactly what creates that uncertainty and raises questions. All tools are allowed in order to express a feeling or a mood. This is how the standard rules are to be broken. If needed! ;)

Our winter is already over and the last snow days were three weeks ago. Now we will have only the good memories until the end of this year :)

Early Winter! What a catchy phrase. It really look like some horror movie, kind of reminds me of when I was little, after seeing a very horror movie then (not so horror now, lol), when I go outside to ease myself, I become scared when I see some things like a scarescrow or a moving cloth or a standstill tree, because of the horror movie, I become very scared. I so love how you give attention to details on your pictures

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
I think you got something like that, btw nice shot .

That Halloween Shape is giving a scary look, but overall it a wonderful picture combination of different colors.
