Art of the bloom
I generally feel an artist spends more time assessing composition before picking up a brush.. One really needs to think through it, sketch an idea and play with colours.. Only then one can enjoy what they are going to paint..
Similarly, my sister spends hours or sometimes days in painting.. Initially I used to feel it's a waste of time.. but after seeing her work I really fell in love with them..

Thanks for sharing the artwork. The piece at the top especially brought back some nostalgia for Mr. Dreamtree, as it reminded him of his art professor's style from college. Great minds think alike, I suppose. :)
