in #art7 years ago

The Pablo Escobar drug cartel's Tulum (Mexico) estate was abandoned 10 years after the owner of the house was killed. Later, this place was Lio Malca turned into a 5 star hotel.

The old Mexican residence of drug magnate Pablo Escobar - now known as the "King of Opium" - has now become a five-star eco-hotel named Casa Malca.

The hotel has 35 rooms, many of which overlook the beautiful private beach front of the palace.

In 2003, a local art dealer, Lio Malca, discovered the abandoned mansion and began renovating.

Casa Malca has three swimming pools, a roof terrace and many artistic details.

Malca decorated the mansion with unique works of art from the personal collection.

Pablo Escobar (pictured left) is a Colombian drug dealer, with an estimated $ 31 billion in assets. Escobar bought the mansion in the 1980s.

The hotel has a lush garden where cooks cook ingredients for the Yucata cuisine.

Guests can enjoy stunning sea views while staying at Casa Malca for $ 500 per night.

Two of the hotel's luxurious facilities include an underground pool and a sauna.

Casa Malca is loved for its artistically furnished interior, chosen by Malca's own hands.

If you want to explore the area outside this splendid resort, you can go to the ancient Maya ruins about 10 km away.

The Casa Malca (red dot on the map) is located in the coastal area of Quintana Roo (Mexico), near the pre-Columbian archaeological site. Photo: Screen capture.
