Unexpected results from experimental homemade media

These are a few doodles I did about a year ago.I did not feel as though I should be constrained by traditional techniques so I began to formulate which media would suit my needs the best.
black was the most obvious color of what I can only assume a bold statement be cast in.
How does this picture make you feel? What does it look like to you? Can you guess how it's done?

After painstaking practice of an unforgiving media I was able to make a whole page of various images some of which were random and used to fill space and to contribute to my own experience. The enigma of the ink still perplexes me, although, not actually ink.

Can you guess how it is done yet? I will reveal my secret perhaps, in a future post. Until then, happy posting.
