Hello People,
I'm here and not just here, but you have the happy me here today. That I can come up and begin to push up my talent again means a great change in my life. Though making a painting isn't that easy cause of the material cost but "Passion supersede many thing at all times." The presence of passion made me find it so easy to overlook the cost of the production and rather look into my glorious improvement.
On a mission to explore!
I woke up today to see some act of appreciation on my previous post/work, I was so surprised to see @donkeypong among those that appreciated my work. This made me so happy and really triggered the act to improve in me. So I'm saying thank you to @donkeypong once again.
In the making with fun!
The art of painting and drawing is that which requires a lot of practices with consistency. Though good equipment matters too but the act itself is the priority. I once lost the act but now the art liveth in me!
I really don't have much but I own passion.
- A watercolor set
- A set of brushes
- A palette
- A sketchpad.
All listed above are the equipment I have at the moment to make my paintings, though not good enough but at least I could still make something out of the little worth.
As you can see in the above picture, I started the painting by making a sketch with one of my brushes and the white colour to be a guideline while laying the colours.
After the sketch, trying to get the right outline for the painting, I made use of the Grey colour to make the sketch somewhat thicker. It was actually fun using a particular colour in there different tones to make some lovely strokes in the painting.
Making a perfect picture with the absence of the initial colours was what I was able to achieve here. Leaving the work at this stage could also be seen as a finished work but that was not actually my message. Then I was yet to introduce the concept of "Fighting colours".
Introducing the concept of "Fighting colours", though many people might have another name for this particular concept, but I called it "Fighting colours" cause that's what I visualize. Bringing in the Yellow colour on a lighter pace into the artwork brought the work into life and portrayed a little for of realism.
After applying the lightest colour I needed to use, so I intend to bring the "Fighting colour" concept to life, so I used the Orange colour to create some strokes against the Yellow I had before then I move up to using the Brown colour to balance up the whole painting up. If you understand the rules in painting, then you would know why I used the Yellow first, then the Orange before the Brown cause I needed to start from the lightest colour.
