Tribute to Karl Lagerfeld - Part 4 - Let's make a sample
Step Four:
It's time to make a small sample (100 mm high) to make sure there's no mistake and the design looks good on metal.
I'm using very high quality stainless steel for the engraving so for the sample I re-use previous plate that have been sandblasted to remove the previous testing of failed attempts.
Fails are really a part on the business, this is how you make progress.
Now that the laser machine is programmed and ready to go let's try and see what's the result looks like.

Final result of the sample:
I'm very happy with the result! The only thing I'm going to change is lighten the background, I want Karl Lagerfeld to popup more. I will modify all the 8 shades pour make them lighter for final engraving.
We are almost ready to go :), the artwork size will be 300 mm * 150 mm.
