"World in my eyes IV"
This is the fourth painting wich will take part in the exhibition I've planned. I made a sketch before I started painting. Dimensions of the artpiece are 200/85 cm. This time the topic is related to the Global Warming. Including symbolic meaning by making the body like igloo, I'm trying to show this is a place where the humans live, but it's closed to them. The icicles above the entrance have a symbolic meaning that there is no way to turn back time, unless we think about how we are losing the planet day by day. I used a face of the famous actress Kate Blanchette. It seemed to me very suitable for this theme. Painting a famous faces makes me concentrated and careful about achieving a resemblance. It's like a game between me and the spectator called "Guess the face". Of course everybody can give a different meaning wich is a good way for me to see my painting through other prisms.
But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be sober-minded and be sober unto prayers.(1 Peter 4:7)

Ah, the queen Blanchett! She reminds me of Tilda Swinton, mainly because of her role in Narnia. Great painting. Good luck with the exhibit! :D
Thank you very much!
