In November 2011 I was asked to participate in a series of short films a producer was making on artists of various disciplines, from Ibiza, by Enrique Villalonga in Filmotica.
The idea was to film the process of the creation of a painting from beginning to end. Little did this man know how many hours he would have to spend at my place as my process is very slow and meticulous. He spent a month and half visiting once a week for about four hours at a time. He then compressed all this into a 12 minute video. At the end of this post I have posted the taster of it. The full one can be viewed only from his web page.

When I began this painting, as usual, I had no idea what I was going to do. I just smudged the background and let myself be taken by the flow of it. I felt a little pressure at first but then I got used to it quite soon. I just listened to my music in my headphones and ignored the fact there was somebody around.
He is also quite good at becoming invisible so that helped.

The story came to me while I looked at the painting one early morning as I woke up and looked at it. It was a bird bringing a message. I had placed a ground of magnifying glasses to capture the details and recognise the message, flying forward over the horizon.
I´m sorry the video is only in spanish. There is a version with subtitles in the making but I haven´t yet received it. So here it goes as is... this was back in 2011 in my old studio in the ancient house I was living in at that time. Wonderful place!
