New Year and Christmas holidays are just around the corner, so I suggest you together with your child make an original handbag for gifts in the form of Santa Claus.

So, prepare:

• cardboard
• colored paper
• glue
• double sided tape
• scissors
• a ruler
• pencil

To begin with, with your child, think about how your Santa Claus will be and draw a sketch on paper.

Cut out this sketch and transfer it to the cardboard. We need 2 figures of Santa Claus.

Also we need to make a side. Its width is 6.5 cm. Determine the length based on the size of your Santa Claus (I have 26 cm).

Now take the red colored paper and circle our cardboard Santa Claus. We need 4 figures to glue cardboard blanks on both sides.

Also we circle our side. We need two of them.
To one of the sides we finish denticles, with the help of which the rim will be attached to the workpieces of Father Frost.

We proceed to gluing the blanks and the border. Remember that colored paper on cardboard blanks is glued on both sides

Our main blanks are ready.

You can proceed to assemble the handbag. We take our side. Lubricate the teeth with glue from the outside

We glue the side to one of the figures of Santa Claus in a semicircle

Now we grease the denticles on the rim on the other side

We glue the second figure of Santa Claus. Keep it until the glue grabs.
The frame of our handbag is ready.

We also need to cut out of cardboard and colored paper hands for our Santa Claus.

On the reverse side to the hands we glue a small cardboard rectangle. The cardboard is stacked in several layers, so that, as a result, the hands of Santa Claus slightly protruded above the body.

Now, from the white paper, we cut out the face of Santa Claus, and from the colored paper clothes: gloves, boots, belt, a bag for gifts, a pompon for a hat.

Now that everything is ready, you can instruct the child to dress Santa Claus.

We glue our hands on double-sided scotch tape

Draw a face to Santa Claus

We make a handle for our purse. To do this, cut out a cardboard strip of 30 cm long and 12 mm wide. We paste it with red colored paper.

The handle is attached to the bag with a double-sided tape

All parts are glued using an adhesive gun.
