My newest painting. Actually, work in progress right now. Not very surprising as far as the subject, I guess.

Mein neuestes Bild. Eigentlich aktuell in Arbeit. Nicht gerade überaschend was das Sujet betrifft, denke ich mal.

There is a paper bag too, an element which kept me fascinated for several month now. At least for something to be drawn. Its been sitting on my desk for a while, but it is getting a little out of shape here lately. Better watch those Christmas cookies or I face the same destiny.
The drawing is on a sheet of glass 13.5" x 21.5". Graphite pencil on the reverse side of glass to be precise.
Es gibt auch eine Papiertüte, ein Element, das mich seit einigen Monaten fasziniert. Zumindest, als etwas um gezeichnet zu werden. Liegt nun schon eine Weile auf meinem Schreibtisch, aber sie verliert in letzter Zeit etwas ihre Form. Sollte mit den Weihnachtsplätzchen aufpassen, oder mir blüht das gleiche Schicksal.
Die Zeichnung befindet sich auf einer Glasscheibe 34x55cm. Den Artikel Bleistiftzeichnung hinter Glas gibts momentan leider nur in englisch.
Did I mention, there is a little something mechanical...?

Danke.. man sieht es vielleicht nicht, war aber verdammt viel Arbeit. Jetzt noch eine "Umrandung" und hoffentlich bekomme ich nächste Woche den Rahmen fertig.

Das ist ja eine super tolle Zeichnung :) Die hab ich direkt geresteemed. Wo in Deutschland lebst du eigentlich. Wir machen gerade @kaliberlin auf (d.h. in den nächsten Wochen) und wollen da auch surreale/psychedelische Kunst ausstellen. Ich finde deine Arbeit echt super, wohnst du hier zufällig in der Gegend? Versand ist bei solch tollen Arbeiten ja eher heikel.

Allerdings möcht ich schon ewig mal wieder nach Berlin. War erst 2x da, einmal zu DDR Zeiten und dann in den frühen 90ern. Da hat sich sicher einiges verändert.

Wow what a story..maybe my seeing of it will be to subjective but I must...So many artificial elements on this shopping example of female subject I see all the time in shopping malls, hanging their bags on ''broken elbow'', artificial colors of hair, fake smiles like they are all full of botox and can't smile properly and yes their artificial walk and ''flying''among shelves in malls like they are visiting museums and not brain washing stores...

Very interesting interpretation. I largely agree with you as far as all the "mindless" shopping an such is concerned. In this painting its more of being a victim to "desire"... she wants the heels, although there is no way, she can wear them... so she can only put on the bag instead ;-)
