MODERN TIMES INSANITY - This picture was banned for being "sexist"
At least we can be glad that the times that we live in are not boring at all. Society and culture has changed incredibly much over the last 25 years. But was it a change for a better or worse? While #metoo is on everyone's lips, talking about sexual offenses committed by "refugees" is making you a "racist" faster than you can watch. People suddenly consider gender something that you can "decide" and believe than male and female either do not exist at all or are not the entire bandwith of genders.
In these days of omnipresent confusion the Manchester Art Gallery has decided to put down one of the most famous pictures in the gallery: "Hylas and the Nymphes" by John William Waterhouse. The beautiful piece of art shows a young man falling for the beauty of some naked nymphes in the water. The picture is simply beautiful and transmits a magic atmosphere. But for Clare Gannaway, the curator, it is giving a wrong idea of being female hence it needed to go.

These things are to be expected from the kind of mad idiots that hate all things good. What's a little odd is that Germany seems to be pretty cool with nudity at least from what I've seen.
That's true. Noone cares a lot about nudity over here but violence in the media is a big one... Just the opposite in comparison to the US.
Nope, that picture in fact explains it perfectly. It's a crazy world we live in, progressives want to take gun rights from the insane and also insist on the insane having access to weapons of mass destruction in the military.
It's really a shame that they removed a beautiful piece of pre-raphaelite art. But people doesn't responded well to that and they put it back.
I agree with you and hope that all that madness end soon. I saw that you live in Germany. From what I see in the news, the situation there is very sad in the sense of "progressism" too… Unfortunately.
The situation is horrible in lots of Western countries. Anyways I think some US universities are still the ivory tower when it comes to progressist idiocy.
Wouldn't criticizing this piece for it's supposed sexism work much more in her favor instead of banning it as "entartete Kunst" right away?

Not only disgusting but mind bending, when you want to convince someone of such a basic falsehood that a man can become a woman you have to start young, that's why they target schools and summer camps.
Very very true. I thought I was the only one who noticed this brainwashing from a disgustingly young age. strange times ...
there is an article I will post and dissect that is very disturbing about how they are targeting children at sleep away camps and indoctrinating them. And it is written from the perspective that it is a good and right thing to do, scary.
