VERY RARE AND UNIQUE PIECE OF ANCIENT ART!
This images were taken from Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple, Tamil Nadu - A 16th Century Temple and constructed during Nayak Period(Chola Rulers)
Wonderful architectures of the Cholas especially this life size Lady Statue which caught my attention when i scroll through this temple history and images! Look at the detailing on the hairs and to do this so perfectly the carver must have a super skill and patience .
All of us know that Granite is pretty much a very hard material to cut through but here we see wonders as if it like been melted and molded with ease. The curves are so real as a lady standing there.
Really love this skills! But the sad part is not many able to do this job nowadays in India especially from South.
Trends are changing now. I hope so we preserve this ancient wonders so the future generation will know how great their ANCESTORS WAS!
