潍坊是世界风筝文化交流的中心，被世界各国人民称为风筝的故乡。潍坊风筝同中国许多民间艺术形式一样，产生于人们的娱乐活动，是寄托着人们的理想和愿望，与人们的生活有密切联系的娱乐品。（Weifang is the center of the cultural exchange of the kite in the world. 潍坊国际风筝节每年4月20日至25日在潍坊举行。有来自世界各地的30多个国家和地区参赛。（The Weifang International Kite Festival is held in from April 20th to 25th in Weifang. There are more than 30 countries and regions from all over the world.）
