Drawing with children. Bright decorative fish.
Hello my dear friends, followers and guests of my blog!
Today I want to offer to draw with your children. The school year will soon begin, there will not be much time for entertainment and interest classes, so you can take advantage of the last week of vacation, postpone the hassle and preparation for the school year and do drawing!
Today I propose to draw this decorative fish:
For this work you will need:
sheet of cardboard;
gouache;
tempera or acrylic paints;
black marker;
decorative elements (I have these baubles, but there may be buttons, shells, pebbles, beads, etc.).
A step-by-step process
First we draw a fish shape. The forms of fish in nature are so diverse that here we can give vent to fantasy and draw almost any!
It is desirable to take into account one thing: the younger the child, the shape of the fish should be simpler, and the decorative details are larger and more contrast.
So, my fish turned out like this:
Drawing a shape with a pencil, draw a line with a marker so that they are not lost in the process of coloring the fish. At the end of the work we will line them once more.
Now start to color it:
If the child is small, he can paint the fish with monophonic spots. If you are older, you can try to explain to him the gradation of color and light, look for glare on the fish and shadow parts.
Our fish will be decorative! Do not forget about it and use any colors that we like. It is desirable that they are combined (at least according to the child's opinion) among themselves :)
It does not matter if the child paints the main lines with awkward movements, we will restore them at the end of the work. The main thing now is to paint the whole space of cardboard, leaving no white parts.

After the fish has acquired color and shape, let's deal with its environment, water.
Here is the water we made for our fish.
Let's start decorating. We decided to decorate the fish with sparkles, the benefit of this good was at hand.
All the sparkles were glued to the glue. First, the glue was put on the places where the decor would be, and then these areas were sprinkled on the tops ..
They left to dry on the table. When the glue dried, all the extra sparkles shook off the picture.
Now a little more shine and final finishing - we draw a marker all the lines that are painted over or hidden under the sequins in the process of drawing.
And the painting is ready!!!
I hope you like it!
Beautiful artwork! Keep it up! The sparkles make it complete. Someday you'll have to draw a whale. @ironshield
The very process of working with a child is very important!

Thank you!
Such a cool idea for parents to do with their children, our grandkids are visiting this coming weekend and I may try it with our grand daughter but she has a mind of her own and likes more anstract sort of drawing LOL
Ah glitter. I'm not sure how much I'd trust kids with that because it'll get everywhere, but beyond that this is super cute. Might also be a useful thing for teachers too, thanks for sharing!
