Hello Steemians readers,
This time the post is about an artist whose work related biography has become the subject of a film.
I am particularly a film lover.
Previously did a post titled: 3D Graphics and the Beauty of Chinese Cinema and prior to many different activities at the beginning of this year was away from films and finally manage to watched and really enjoyed my first full length film this year last weekend , and it was a great joy.
The film is about a North America female painter, a great one and she is still alive.
As a College student of the Fine Arts, aesthetics become of relevant importance in everything I do, if it does not looks aesthetically beautiful something is missing.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 15, 1927, Peggy Doris Hawkins - artistically know as Margaret D. H. Keane biography has become a film directed by the great, twice-Oscar nominated USA film Director Tim Burton.
Edward Scissorshands Tim Burton early Film which is a classic among a whole generation.
Tim Burton who is a renowned Director for films such as Batman, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorshands and many others great moving pictures teamed up with screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski who also co-write Ed Wood, to write the screen play of the amazing but true story that's delightful, and somehow bizarre for the film title: Big Eyes.
An amazing film which brings to the film lovers, the attention to the great and original art work masterpieces of Margaret Keane.
The film screen shoot beautifully the married exploitation of Walter Keane who achieves unbelievable fame, success and fortune as an artist who's passing off Margaret Keane work as his own.

Although an unfortunate real life event, the film screen shoot, portraits it in a light, funny format and is indeed an inspiration. The sort of film that inspire the viewers to find out more about the works of this amazing USA artist.

Although some failed artists, the sort of the ones who become art critics, jealous of Margaret Keane success define her work as kitsh, still Margaret Keane artistic canvas and posters sold massively in USA, and she is widely acclaimed in USA as one of the greatest USA home artists, however her work is not world wide recognized and accepted as masterpieces which in my point of view is a mistake of the conservative circle of the artistic world.

Margaret Keane is undoubtedly one of the greatest contemporary visual artist of our time and should be recognized as such world widely while still alive with exhibitions everywhere from MOMA - Museum of Modern Art - Sao Paulo - Brazil, to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago of Chile, to Museum of Contemporary Art - Sydney - Australia, to London Tate Gallery UK to The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan to CAFA - The Central Academy of Fine Arts - WangJing, Chaoyang Qu - Beijing Shi - China, to Singapore, Taiwan, Russia, Europe I mean art Galleries around the world should do their job and offer their public the amazing collection of this great USA artist.
