A Piece of Art From the Past - 4

in #art6 years ago

Hello Pal! Rangoli (an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor or the ground using materials such as coloured rice, dry flour, coloured sand or flower petals.) is a traditional art form in India which is usually made on the floor near the door to welcome the guests and Devi Lakshmi (Goddess of money). I am sharing the picture of the Rangoli that I made few years ago in Deepawali (the festival of lights).

I made this Rangoli back in the year 2014 on Deepawali. I know the image quality is highly compromised but still the Rangoli is pretty; right? I made it using colored rice grains and my sister also helped me while making this. She even gave outline to a few parts by using grains of rice. It was a hard work but she managed to finish it in time. Her dedication made this Rangoli even more better. I like this one the most among all that I've made so far.
