Making a octopus sculpture with spoons and forks
Today I am going to show you the metal octopus I made in my workshop in Nice, French Riviera, France.
I work in gilding workshop and I create my own jewelry brand on the concept of recycling.
I do the same by making little sculptures using Forks and soup spoons.
I cut the handles of the cutlery
I saw some of the spoons to form the body of octopus
The two spoons are then welded together
The Forks are then welded and must be shaped for the tentacles
I retrieve luster elements for the eyes that I fix on the spoon
I catch up with the tools and when the general form is satisfactory, we can go to the next step.
I create also the fixation mount it in glass bell.
For this octopus I decided to make a black finition
I put red stones in the eyes
The result!
Amazing process :-D I would never quess that it's head is from a spoon and it's tentackles from a fork. I am pleasantly surprised. Really nicely done. :-D I like the octopus.
Thanks you very much!
quite a involved process - I would never have guessed what you started with!
