Street art in Istanbul
Street before the Internet was one of the primary public spaces where people could share about their experiences. It still is. And these pictures from the streets of Istanbul show us that street walls can serve as an open exhibition to various forms of paintings, graffiti. Most of these arts can be found in Kadıköy. You may pay attention how vibrant and colorful they are, which symbolizes resistance to the "grey", or "black and white" public life in Turkey.

Famous street artist INTI painted this on the wall of a building in Kadıköy, Istanbul. It was named as "Memoria Resistancia" meaning remembrance of resistance, it was dedicated to the Gezi movement.
