Seeing Into Time

An ink drawing
The figure in this drawing is looking into their future, peering through the folds of time. I wonder what they will see on the road ahead of them, maybe they will change direction and take a different path.

The background for the drawing was prepared by first applying water to the page, and then dropping black ink into the water. The background was left to dry, then a dip pen and black drawing ink was used to add the figure and lines to the picture.

Your art is always intriguing. It's been a while since I saw it and this one carries deep meaning too. I interpret the dark colour as the representation of uncertainties. Peering through the bars made it look even more terrifying too.
It must be scary to see the future through bars and straight lines. Maybe that's where the man's posture comes from: head down, hunched over, with no courage. For a less linear future and a more promising time. It was good to appreciate your work again, @opheliafu
Thank you @nancybriti. Sometimes having our heads stuck on a vision of the future inhibits our ability to appreciate the present.
Everyone can give a different assessment, it is a delicate drawing in my opinion, I will see the next.
That's neat. I think it could be interpreted in a lot of different ways. For me it's like peering through slices of time. Nice one
