One of my Facebook friends is an artist and art critic, and he visits Venice Biennale every time. Biennale is an art event that happens every two years. In 2015, He enthusiastically told his friends about Venice Biennale 2015 because Okwui Enwezor was the director of event planning. Enwezor is a Nigerian curator, art critic, writer, poet, and educator, specializing in art history. According to him, Enwezor made the biennale a politically charged event which exhibited the works that deal with racial discrimination, war, class struggle, etc... Marx's book "Capital" was read during the session. Who does art exist for? The rich? The people? That's the most important question.
