Trying to found
Greetings everyone..
I was an art teacher until this year but by some politic reasons i lost my job. Now im working at somewhere book publisher office as an artist.. Im able to draw anything easyly in real life, as manually.. but in digital, im having hard times how to find out about how to do such things.. and.. some artists are not that friendly-sharing about theirs tactics in digital art.
So, I want to share how i found out the way to make a picture for child books by myself..
first, im sketching messy messy at first layer..
i use differend color than black to dont mix with when i start to line art.. then.. im making some details more visible in same layer by sketching..
then.. i created a new layer and started to draw line art..
then adding some other background.. here in office, we are racing with time and it was a fast drawing so i didnt work on much detaily background.. just simple wall and clouds etc.. just for fill the frame..
then.. i create a new layer under line art layer, and start to coloring it by using bucket tool fill thing..
to make it easy for myself i keep every line touch to eachother to i can color them fast with bucket tool..
now i got my picture colored.. to add shadows, i create new layer as "multiply".. then i use slightly darker tone of same colors to giving shadow them..
after im done with shadows, i add one more layer as "add".. and im adding highlights and shinings on this layer as like sun reflections etc
i dont know if im doing it right, but this is a way i found by trying and watching few tutorial videos.. but my works been accepted by book writers and producers anyway.. they are not into art.. thats why they see my works are fine enoght, but you guys know im terrible.. i have to improve myself a lot and would like to hear yours advices seriously.. thanks for reading and sorry for my poor english. : )
