Egyptian priestess
The tomb with the mummy of the great priestess of the temple of Pharaoh Amenemhet II Amon-Ra from the city of Great Thebes was found in 1902 during the excavation of the pyramid by five local residents. The sarcophagus and the mummy were bought from them by four archaeologists-Englishmen. The Arabs started a quarrel with each other, which resulted in a bloody fight. All of them died from the received stab wounds. These were the first five victims of an Egyptian priestess.
The Egyptologist, who transported the mummy to Cairo, injured his finger on the sarcophagus, as a result of which he received a blood poisoning. Surgeons had to urgently amputate his hand to save his life. The scientist's assistant, who was engaged in sending the mummy to London, soon shot himself. The third member of the archaeological expedition died of a fever. The fourth was crushed in the street by a cart of a scrappy cabman ...
The photographer, who was commissioned by the Egyptian authorities to take photos of the priestess, became insane. His imagination painted terrible pictures for him - the priestess came to life and craved the blood of the people who had awakened her. The second photographer died eight days after shooting from a sunstroke. Finally, the fatal priestess Amon-Ra was transported to London, where she "found peace" in the British Museum.
