Museum of Modern Art - MoMA
The idea for The Museum of Modern Art was developed in 1929 primarily by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller (wife of John D. Rockefeller, Jr.) and two of her friends, Lillie P. Bliss and Mary Quinn Sullivan. After changing its location many times since then, in 1939 its permanent and current home became 11 W 53rd St, New York. Main architects responsible for renovation are Philip Goodwin, Edward Durell Stone and Yoshio Taniguchi.
