First of all I want to say that I am not a professional artist hence I don't have talent of sketching. The thing i have is passion and hobby. Actually sketching seems kind of cool to me so I often try to sketch. Yes I said try which mean I am not a pro type artist. Anyway now I want to welcome you in my blog and the topics is HOW TO DRAW A CHAMELEON . The fact is chameleon is a reptile and there is a criteria to draw these kind of reptiles. As a cover photo I choose the completed one. In the second pic I will show how I started my drawing.

20180315_203631.jpgThis weird looking pattern is the head . yup, head is the first thing I drew when I started to draw the chameleon. I drew the hole pattern with HB pencil. I drew it so lightly so that I can erase any mistaken part to change the shape.

This time I completed drawing the hole figure, then I started to draw the spot and shades which is the most important part of a sketch.

I added those body stripes with the 8B pencil.

I used these pencil 8b,6b,2b and Hb for sketching. Drew the pattern with hb as I said before and drew the dark shades with 8b then went to less dark with the 6b and hb accordingly.

after completing hole sketching I added those round shapes to make it more natural. And this is the key to draw reptiles. these round shapes are the common things in every kinds of reptiles whatever it is crocodile or frog or snakes these circle shapes can be found in every reptiles , so whenever I draw any reptiles I add these circle as much as I can. NO not in extreme amount of course. I add these in few places where it truly belongs (follow the completed picture).
