Levon Biss - Microsculpture
Microsculpture is a ground breaking project by the British photographer Levon Biss that presents insect specimens from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History like never before. Since this exhibition is in my hometown where i grew up it was very easy for me to visit this museum. The images were astonishing! These images reveal an unexpected and often breathtaking beauty and make visible the many intricate adaptations to the form of insects - what entomologists call their microsculpture.

There was tons of other insects that he took close up. Too many to make a picture of all of them but if you want to see more i recommend visiting his website:
Wasp Mimic Hoverfly
If you visit his website you can zoom in ridiculously close and see every single hair of these insects. For sure worth a look.

I love to visit museums all over the world. I never did that before i met my girlfriend so i would like to thank Anna for introducing me in how nice art can be. Especially combined with nature. Very cool. I watched a documentary recently that discussed how we could replace our beef consumption with locus and it would be a lot cheaper and way more sustainable. It can be turned into burgers and "ground beef". Was interesting. I also wonder if we can do something with jellyfish because jellyfish are actually starting to overpopulate the ocean.
Thank you buddy!! Would be awesome if we could reduce our beef consumption. Insects for sure is a answer. They got lots of protein. I honestly just cant eat it but we should all get used to it. It might be a must soon!! Lets keep in touch :)
I think it's a matter of changing what we think of as food. If you make me a cooked bug burger and it tastes close enough to a hamburger, were good to go.

Sali :-). Wir sind nach Bali ausgewandert und haben eine kleine Tauchschule in Sanur aufgemacht. Dies war schon lange unser Traum und wir haben lange und hart für diesen Schritt gearbeitet. In meinem letzten Post habe ich ein Tauchplatz im Osten von Bali vorgestellt und bald folgen noch weitere. Ich werde sehr gerne deine Beiträge von den Philippinen anschauen. Wow! Living the dream!! Soweit bin ich leider noch nicht. Ich spare hier in der schweiz gerade auf meinen traum in den Philippinen ein resort zu eröffnen. Gerne gebe ich dir tauchtipps falls du mal auf die Philippinen gehst. Es lohnt sich auf jedenfall was tauchen betrifft. In Bali war ich leider noch nie tauchen aber habe viele Freunde da, werde euer diveshop dann auf jedenfall besuchen sobald ich wieder mal da lande :)

Träume im Leben zu haben ist wichtig - versuchen umzusetzen, noch wichtiger ;-). Lass dir lieber genug Zeit um richtig zu sparen - die Zelte sind dann schnell abgebrochen. Ich wünsche dir auf alle Fälle, dass deine Träume auch bald in Erfüllung gehen :-). Falls du mal in Bali bist, würde ich mich freuen, dich kennen zu lernen.
