Poster For Tomorrow Design

Hi everyone!

I would like to share with you my design for ‘The Poster For Tomorrow’ competition I entered last year.

I entered the competition with 2 pieces of work. I thought that the outcome of both met the brief very well.

I enjoyed creating both of these posters and felt that I could be as creative as I liked! When I was designing these posters, it was around the time that Donald Trump won the election, which caused a lot of controversies.

The first piece represents the famous "American Dream" being ruined and burnt in front of our eyes by the new President. And the second piece relates to his pledge to build a wall on the Mexican border and the travel ban. Everyone, regardless of race, religion, sex and sexual orientation should have equal rights and be free to travel the world as they please.

A few months later I checked back on the website. To be very honest, I got so busy that I’d forgotten that I entered the competition! I had a look at​ the website and there were 6.993 entries to the competition last year! To my surprise, my design came in the top 100!!

The design was also featured in their book!
