Bridges of St. Petersburg. Kolomna bridge.

in #art7 years ago

Kolomna Bridge is a pedestrian bridge across the Griboedov Canal, which got its name from the name of the island and the district of St. Petersburg, which is connected by this bridge to another island (Pokrovsky). At this point in 1907 was first built a wooden bridge. This bridge was temporary, as the neighboring bridge Malo-Kalinkin was closed for repairs. And in 1910 a permanent wooden pedestrian bridge across the canal was built. In 1967, at the Department of Metal Constructions of the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute, a welded aluminum bridge design was developed to replace the outdated Kolomenskoye. The inventor of the project was Professor Kryzhanovski. The bridge was built from 1968 to 1969. In October 1969, the bridge was opened for traffic.

The length of the bridge is 32.7 meters, the width of the bridge is 2.75 meters.

We got acquainted with one more bridge through the Griboedov channel in St. Petersburg.
See you at the next bridge.

Sometimes it is difficult to describe things with words, but these photos do not need a description because they simply leave you with your mouth open. You have done honor to a small space in St. Petersburg. Congratulations and I hope you can continue publishing small high quality posts. Greetings from Venezuela.
