Pecking Woodpecker - Acrylics Painting by me

Dear Steemian,

Again, thanks for visiting! Today I would like to show you a painting I made two years ago, I think. It is a woodpecker we can find in The Netherlands, but probably also elsewhere around the world. The reference has been made by Gunther Belmans, and I painted it thankfully.

Except for the black background (I never use pure black paint, I always mix it by using burnt umber and ultramarine) I didn't encounter much difficulties. After having this painting in an exhibition, I sold it to a good friend of mine! That is just one of the greatest compliments you can get :)
