Not For Sale, this Aquarelle of a Startled Owl

Dear Steemian!

Years ago I painted this detailed work of a startled owl. A screech owl.

A screech owl (or Steenuil in Dutch) is a tiny owl, you may find in the Netherlands. When I drove in the area of Nijmegen previous year, I saw one sitting on a lantern. It was one of the best sightings I had in 2016 (other ones were flamingos, a black ibis and a yellow wagtail, in the same country! But that's different story). I hope 2017 will get other crazy sightings for me!

Very beautiful art, actually, I'd say quite incredible with the detail. I have one living up in my Sequoia tree, though I never get this close of a look. Too shy. But fun to listen to. Thanks for sharing your art with us. Have a nice day.
