Black butterflies are considered an omnious sign.
A sign of upcoming death.
Death of someone or something, a painful transition of the soul to another level. Like all painful experiences, losing anything or anyone may feel devastating and lead to denial and resistance to the experience itself.
Religions exist to thrive on death and similar transitions, after all something certain for all cannot really be a unique extraordinary experience, could it?
And there comes the gap between man and religion. It takes a strong faith to the principles of divinity not to lose religion during pain. It also takes humility and compassion.
Today's office art is inspired by Black Butterflies
I competed the artwork using mixed media including drawing tool (pens and markers), photography and Snapseed.
Thank you for your support @mariandavp I love the balance of the black and deep blue colors of this pieces. The butterflies represent change and metamorphosis, the transition into another life. You are correct, people fear death and the unknown but when you have faith that there is a High Power and that it is made of love, we know that there is love on the other side. Recently a friend of mine died, but instead of a funeral, we had a celebration full of live music, dance, drinks and cheer, because we celebrated her life and it's what she wanted. Life and Great art! Cheers!

It has been an awfully long time since I have read the Book of Job, or Jung's commentary on it "Answer to Job." Perhaps I should re-read both with your image and words in mind.
Are you referring to the book of Job in the bible sir @onceuponatime? If it is, its such an amazing book where Job didnt really give up on his faith amidst the hardships which can also be regarded to the post above by ma'am @mariandavp having emphasized these words:
"It takes a strong faith to the principles of divinity not to lose religion during pain."
