In the 1880s, the painting of Rafael Romero is at its best, during this time he made a series of works focused on the urban and architectural landscape of Cordoba, which is the best contributions of the landscape painting of the city of Cordoba throughout the nineteenth century.
In this work, we can contemplate part of the city of Córdoba, it is related to a sketch entitled field day in the Romero de Torres collection. Work of great beauty and a lot of detail.
