My Acrylic Painting of Cactus Plants | To Show My Deep Appreciation & Love for Nature
Plants are gifts from nature. They give us clean and fresh air. They give us relaxation by looking at their different green tones and they also beautify places. This time, I would like to show my appreciation to the plants by painting one of my favorite plant, the cactus.
Cactus are so beautiful and adorable not until you touch them. I love looking at them because they are very aesthetic in all forms, shapes and sizes.
In this blog I painted cactus in a playful color setting using acrylic in easy steps.
MATERIALS:
Painting pad
Pencil Acrylic
paints (Purple, White, Blue, Green (dark&light), yellow, pink
Thick lining pen
PROCEDURE:
#1: I draw a sketch of the cactus plant with a pot on it.
#2: I painted the upper background by mixing purple & white to make it lighter. I applied it in dabbing strokes.
#3: For the lower background which serves as the table, I mixed blue and white to make the shade lighter again. I applied it by painting on one horizontal strokes.
#4: For the pots, I used pink and painted them on the left side only. This serves as the shadowing effect of the pots.
#5: By mixing pink & white I achieved a lighter shade of pink and I painted it on the remaining parts of the pots.
#6: I painted the plants with dark green And added a little bit of light green.
#7: After the paint was dry. I started outlining the plants to make it emphasized, formed and sharp.
Last step: I painted the thorns with yellow, and pink for the flowers.
That is how I did my painting! I hoped you like my painting! What do you do to express your appreciation of things?
PLANTS ARE FRIENDS!
XOXO,
