Valis and Hesse's path of instinct
I am Hesse, a designer, artisan and car enthusiast. About a year ago I found myself in Norway, a country unfamiliar to me and so different from what i am used to, the people i am used to, the food, the art and the technology surprisingly too. Coming from Latin America It was a strange place to get settled in but I felt was promising because i was free to pursue what i wanted. This story begins when i met Valdis, a guy who shared my views on this new land and who happened to have a very similar artistic taste to mine.
Asked him how he would introduce himself to everyone online and he wrote, “I am Valis, i speak several languages. I have grown up in Soviet countries and have seen what there is to see in these places, ask no questions and you will be told no lies. The good thing I took from the Soviet Union was their language (Russian), it’s always useful. I too came to Norway Knowing nothing about the country. I work with electronics and big metal constructions. Name any road construction vehicle, been there driven that.”
From the start of our journey Valis taught me that languages are the only tools you need to access new societies and people. So with our languages combined we try to make ourselves part of all communities we are faced with. The result, access. Access to everything beautiful the average outsider may not witness or understand. To us it was beautiful to understand what a piece of art meant in its native form.
To this day we have worked together on projects we are very excited to share at last. For example our journey around Europe to find the nicest rims hidden away in old soviet barns or the mechanical trailer we have been constructing as a public piece of art. We will likely be posting a bunch of our functional and electronic art, the results of our trailer project, our travels, our car detailing experiences... BMW of course and whatever else we might decide is Steemit worthy. Hope you guys like it.
