all the votes you are doing on a post that has been already paid are lost, there will be no curation reward for you, neither reward for the author as it has already been paid...so, on old posts (more than the seven days period), there is no need to waste your upvotes, which is depleting your voting power....
That said, you are totally free to do it, I'm just saying in case you are not aware about this fact ;-)
