Finished Pottery From the Kiln
I went to my pottery class today even though I would have rather stayed home today. I needed to get my projects that had been fired in the kiln while I was out of town.
I absolutely love the way that my plate came out. I tried to be creative with the application of the glazes. I even like the texture right down the center of the plate.
I also glazed some small bird houses that came from a ceramic mold. These birdhouses will be placed in my garden when I plant my spring vegetables.
They will only be used for decoration towels not to attract birds. The birds will eat the seeds and try to dig up my plants. I just like the color that it adds to my raised vegetable garden.
This week is the last week of classes at the senior center before our two week break. Ordinarily I would use the two week break to travel abroad. I will be staying close to home this time because of the coronavirus.
Enjoy your day.
