ARTWORK: Spirit Animal. Get one!
Spirit of Deer
The whole World trying to blind the way home but we've got shelter, deep inside, secret.
It has been literally 86 days with 19 hours since my last post ... if someone ever wondered where the heck I was stuck all that time, let me tell you that not on a computer, that's for sure ... small technical problems kept me away from the Interweb.
-sigh-
Anyways, if you like anthro animals , you might like this post! With a lack of art all these days, I thought it would be cool come back to Steemit with something "feral", in order to see how many anthro lovers are out there, or the ones reading this at the moment who likes animals, that's why I want to create a sort of contest for you.
That will keep me motivated to be more here often, or that's what I plan.
Spirit of Deer - Independent, Introvert
Animals are carriers of the spirits of nature that allow overcome any obstacle and achieve any goal. For ancient people, these animals served as guides and teachers teaching what we as humans overlook or forget.
Cervids (Cervidae) are a family of ruminant mammals that includes deer or deer. Associated with Cernunnos the Lord of the Animals , and _the Goddesses of the Hunt, the deer acquired a status of sacred among the Celts of the Iron Age. The deer is the shamanic animal; it moves between worlds and usually accompanies the shaman-druid in her/his travels to the other world. In fact, the ritual importance of the deer is confirmed in the widespread custom of the "cervum facere" or imitation of the deer by means of a mask and horns.
The personality of the Deer is highly contradictory. On the one hand, they are effective, ambitious and have a lot of initiative. On the other, they are introverted with those people who are unfamiliar to them. They know how to take care of themselves and do not present problems to their elders
Spirit of Deer - Design Process
Simple and light lines to determine the space and the form the artwork would take on the paper.
Adding volume and more detailed lines traces.
Giving more details and marking strong lines over the light ones previously drew.
Bringing a simple color palette in order to pop ups some details.
Shade, shade, shade... shading all the lines to give more depth and that's it :p
