Paris - Rue des Barres (watercolor sketching #1)

The story

In Paris, it´s difficult to find buildings not haussmanien . By 1850, more or less, the Baron of Haussman litteray blew up the city and rebuild it again, following instruction from Napoleon III. One of the streets that survived to this stone holocaust was the Rue the Barres which opens the well known quartier du Marais where every trendy top model must at least parade once week a year.
Walking from the Seine, at Pont Marie , direction North and before entering rue de Rivoli you can find this nice piece of moyen age stoned street, La Rue des Barres.
The original watercolour was offered to an incredible parisian girl, who was my girfriend sometime ago, and it must be hung somewhere in Boulogne. Fortunately, I could took a picture from the artwork.
