Styrofoam Cup Art : Seagulls

One of the most known iconics of Istanbul is the sea gulls which completes the charming scenery of Bosphorus for locals and visitors. These different sized huge white birds fill the sea mainly in winter, aiming to spend their time here with many opportunities are already waiting for them. Weather is mostly warmer than surrounding seas and Istanbul is a mega city which means lots of rubbish is produced and Bosphorus itself is a good source of marine fish. But sea gulls are more than this. They developed a strategy and follow ships so people of Istanbul feed them with simit (a local type of bread with sesame) and many other things including fish. With this knowledge i learnt from birddetective we bought half kg of fish and some simits and tried to get photos of my Yellow-legged Gull cup with gulls of Bosphorus. After a storm in the morning, we caught good weather and with help of gulls we got this image!
I drew this cup with two pencils, one brush and three types of colour.
