Debus Is Aceh Art

Debus is Aceh Arts, which has been known since heredity since ancient times. Traditional is almost owned by every district located in Aceh. This art is a combination of art, religion and the science of metaphysics (immune science). This arts group has a minimum of 10 players led by a person called khalifah or syeh. This art uses a musical instrument called rapa'i (drum made of goat skin or buffalo skin). This art generally sang poems and zikr and praise to Allah the Creator and to Rasulullah SAW in accordance with Islamic teachings that chant in a group.

The Origin of Debus Art:

It is said that according to Sufi history (7th century H), Rapa'i Dabus is derived from the songs (poems in the form of prayer) which is read by a murshid in the teachings of his Sufism. This murshid recited a prayer and recitation in a sweet and gentle voice for a long time, until he and his followers were unconscious (mortal billah).
