Stunning Art installations in Japan
A truly amazing art installation has been taking place in Japan in recent weeks. It took place at various locations in the north of the country. Students from the Musashino Art University worked on a project for the Wara Art Festival, which has been taking place since 2008. As the rice harvest reached its conclusion the students used the rice straw to build giants animals which they then left in fields around the Northern town of Niigata.
The giant animal sculptures present a striking image for people driving past. With forty or so students working on each piece this was a mammoth sized project. I think you’ll agree it was a HUGE success.
I have been developing the InSeAsia website for three years. It genuinely is a labour of love. I have lived in Southeast Asia for 9 years and have no plans to ever leave.
Please follow me, up vote, comment and re-steem, and come and check me out. If ever you come to Saigon, Vietnam get in touch and we can meet up.
