Some Paintings from a Well-Known Chinese Artist

I don't have translations yet, but I'll edit the post and include it when I find out. Or if someone can read the signature or any of the writings, please let me know.

What I do know is that most of these (either all or all but one or two) were painted by a well-known chinese painter who recently passed. My grandmother was able to study with him for a while and kept these paintings. I'm assuming this was either during the Japanese Occupation before the Communist Party had taken control, between 1937 and 1945, or after she and my grandfather had fled to Taiwan in 1949. Either way, it's interesting to me that she kept these, and brought them with her to America.

There's probably a story behind every item they brought over since they did have to leave many things behind when they came to America. (One especially interesting item is my grandmother's all-white, grand piano...just considering the size and difficulty in transporting it over, I'm sure there's a good story behind that...but that's for another post). Anyway, I took pictures and measurements of these paintings recently, as they've been taken back to Taiwan for framing.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Chinese painting (except that it's very hard, I've tried -_-), so I can't say what it is that makes these particularly unique or skillful. If someone reading these has some knowledge, please comment. My curiosity in this also stems from the fact that each one is supposedly worth several thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, but I can't distinguish between any of these versus a random student's scroll that isn't worth anything (besides the signature).

The painting below stood out to me, as there is a single RED tree, among all the rest.

This last one looks the most different (and obviously the signature is different), so this one is probably some random student's scroll.
