RE: ADSactly Art: Carlos Cruz Diez and the place of farewells

in #art5 years ago

I applaud this series of post @dedicatedguy. Really emotional to read about giants we take for granted.
When we see the recognition our artists received worldwide, or how influential they have been sometimes for other artists who may even be more popular or better known, we cannot but take a bow.

Very informational and interesting. As you rightly point out, it is a pity that one of his least attractive works (in my humble opinion) has now become the most simbolic and evocative because of what Maiquetia represents now for the millions of venezuelans who are leaving the country.
I love the work of Carlos Cruz Diez. I have had the chance to wlak through some of them and it is really quite an experience. We are fascinated at contemplating art, but to actually get inmersed in the work of art is an amazing sensation. I also like the works of Jesus Soto, another phenomenal venezuelan artist.

Again, thanks for bringing these great people to the spotlight.
