Roman Marble Portrait Head of a Man
ca. early 3rd Century AD. Middle-aged man with closely-cropped hair, eyes sunken under a heavy brow, pupils deeply drilled, with high cheek bones. Small lips with a dimple below, a short beard along the jaw bone and chin. The left side of the head and part of the forehead have been restored but none of the facial features.
