My Painting: Chinese Wistaria 紫气东来

Dear steemians:

Today I'd like to share with you Chinese wistaria, which is a kind of purple flower in Chinese painting. It blooms in Spring, and its petals look like butterflies if you look closely, hanging on the branches, very beautiful! The flowers I painted were purple. In fact, bluish purple is also my favorite, I will try it next time. Chinese wistaria is not only beautiful but also has good implied meaning-- "The Purple Air comes from the east -- a propitious omen."

" The Purple Air comes from the east" is an idiom that has deep meaning :
When Laozi passed the Hangu Pass,YIxi, who was good at observing astronomical phenomena,saw a cloud of purple air coming from the east, and then thought that wise man would come here. So he went out to meet, and saw an old man riding black ox come here, and the old man was Laozi, who was a philosopher in the Spring and Autumn Period, founder of Taoism.

The ancients thought the purple related to people in authority, because their robes were purple. So, it is a propitious omen.

大家好，今天给大家分享一下国画里非常漂亮的一个题材，紫藤花。春天开花，花瓣像蝴蝶一样，颜色有淡紫，深紫色，紫红，蓝色，一串串的挂在枝头，非常漂亮！今天我画的是紫色，其实紫中带一点蓝色也是我喜欢的，下次再尝试其他颜色了。紫藤花不仅漂亮，在国画里也有美好的寓意---紫气东来，旧时比喻吉祥的征兆。

成语 “紫气东来”典故：
老子在经过函谷关时，把守的关令尹喜是个善观天象的人，他看见一团紫气从东方飘来，认为必有圣人来到，赶忙迎接。只见一位老人骑着青牛徐徐走来，这就是老子。

Material 工具：

Chinese brushes 毛笔 4只
Chinese painting color 国画颜料 ： 白粉，藤黄，三青，曙红，赭石，花青
Xuan Paper (raw) 生宣纸
Chinese ink 墨汁
Wool felt 羊毛毡
Small tray for washing brushes 笔洗

The Process:

1.先用一只笔加水调白粉，然后再蘸取紫色 。（用三青和曙红调紫色）画出蝶状得花瓣。
下面得花苞用深紫色画出。

2.藤黄和花青调草绿，加一点墨色或者胭脂，画出花柄和它得茎，再用胭脂画出花蒂。

3.画出叶子，颜色比草绿色深一点。

用一只小笔蘸取浓墨，勾画叶筋。

4.画出枝干和藤。在叶子深处再随意的点缀一些紫色得花瓣。

5.用藤黄点缀花蕊，这幅画基本就完成了。
