UNDERSTANDING ARTS

Painting is one branch of art that is created from the imagination of artists who are expressed through the media lines, colors, textures, dark light, and fields and shapes. Painting is presented in two dimensions, such as canvas, board, paper, and others. The work of painting is called painting.

COMPONENT ARTS

Components of painting consist of subject, form, and content. All three are important to note, because the right combination of three will produce a good work of painting.

• 1. Subject

It is something that becomes a form of painting. Subjects are divided into two, namely:

Paintings form figuratif, meaning the subject is still bound to nature or in other words take the forms that exist in nature.

Painting non figurative form (abstract), meaning the subject is not bound by nature.

• 1. Shape

Form is the way the artist expresses the subject he painted into a real two-dimensional work.

• 1. Content

Content is the ultimate goal to be achieved by artists, the result of the impression of expression through a work of art painting. This disclosure is usually found in several streams of painting.

The development of painting for a long time has spawned a variety of flow of painting. Here is a kind of flow of painting that became the reference of artists until now.

• 1. Surrealism flow

The flow of surrealism is a flow closely related to the world of fantasy, as if we were to paint in the dream world. This flow painting has an illogical or imaginary form or painting, although the target object is very natural.

• 1. The Flow of Romance

The flow of painting is trying to describe a peritsiwa which is considered interesting and special. This type of flow usually displays things that are romance, such as history, tragedy or landscapes. This flow painting tends to be static and stiff.

Characteristic features:

Tend to be dramatized

Full of motion and dynamic

Dynamic composition settings

Painting contains a powerful and emotional story

Color is contrasting and festive.
