Sisters Art Lab - Klimt February
Hello my fellow Steemians
This is my contribution for @sistersartlab 's February art challenge all Art Deco themed with focus on the artist Gustav Klimt
I was playing around with a self portrait in an unusual pose on pre watercoloured paper, I was really struggling with the foreshortening of the upturned face and didn't get it right.
But then I thought I might as well use this as entry for the Klimt challenge and started to decorate the area around the head with gold foil.
It got super messy and wouldn't stick anywhere but on my fingers and the desk.
Eventually I got a few patches down and started to draw the rest with acrylic paint.
I'm still not sure if it's finished but I'm gonna stop working on it for the time being.

Very artistic! The use of the god foil brought the painting to a life. Sometimes we have to use other texture to a painting to be unique and to have more character. Excellent work of art really! Cheers! Have a good one! :)
