Announcing: the Steemit Streetart Challenge #4!

Show the world the hidden treasures of your neighborhood!
No skills required! Only a camera and a good eye!
The winner gets all SBD generated from this post!

Dear friends, followers, supporters, artlovers and bypassers! I promised myself that i won't do this any more. But @dana-varahi made me change my mind. I had to take a break from waking up in the middle of the night when someone on the other side of the world posted to my page. I had to take a break from promoting and talk. But i like doing this and doing it the way I think suits both public and artists. There is however a criteria for making this happen happen continously: There has to be more support! There was hardly anything distinguishing number one and two last time. And after that, there was no interest whatsoever. Winner @leneg, did her share of promotion. And I think that is what is needed. And of course those who pride themselves of being "curators". Where are you when your eyes ar needed? Take your time and drop in when I post updates during the week. There is going to be a change in the rules, where each participant allows me to post reminders to each separate entry. Everyone can of course do this themselves, but this time I will post every single entry as a reminder to the public. These separate reminders will be executed if I see that there is not enough votes to judge a winner. These reminders will of course credit the photographer and have a unbiased, neutral lingo.

I summarized the entries at some point during last round and this is what it looked like:

STRART-round-3.png

The challenge is truly global!

Rules:

  1. One entry per participant! The entry must be a reply to this post. If more images are required, add as many photos you like, but keep it within the same box. Add the location as text.

  2. It must be your image. Cheaters or suspected cheaters will be disqualified. You do not need to be the creator of the work, though it would be cool if you were.

  3. You can vote for your own entry. You can also advertise for it by posting on your page, chatting about it or by collaborating with your friends.

  4. Resteem /reblog this post. This is required for a valid entry and highly recommended for everyone who thinks it is a good idea.

  5. The people is the judge! The entry with the most upvotes, wins. Vote on as many you like. Vote for all of them if it suits you. I will abstain from voting, but if a situation where two or more entries has the same number of votes, I will throw one vote to possibly judge a worthy winner. And if that fails by a last-minute vote, the prize will be split.

  6. Keep it clean! If you want to comment on something, do it under each entry, not as a new one.

  7. Advertise! More entries means bigger prize!

  8. The challenge is over one week from now. As soon as I possibly can, I will announce the winner and pay the prize money.

  9. By entering, you allow me to use your imagery in the purpose of advertisement for the challenge. You will of course be accredited. The advertising will be in a neutral tone to treat everyone fair.

  10. Read and understand the rules. And above all respect them.

The challenge within the challenge:

Is as always to be heard. And therefore to kick it off in a best possible way, I challenge:

The previous participants: @freshtuff @mithrilweed @phoblographer @gibiuk @sroka87 @wlsghwjd @erikaflynn @snooway @leneg @aishwarya @mikepedro @oneup @joooney @jwenke @sversus

Those who shared the previous round and did not enter: @dabeckster @benniebanana @toniesteem @ausbitbank @ivhexe @aishwarya @wishmaiden @sulev @streetartgallery @dragosroua

The lovely art community: @aksinya @motivator @everlove @makersunited @art-trail @paolobeneforti and others

In adition I would like to ask the witnesses I just voted for for help to spread the word. And this time I ask @fyrstikken and @agoric.systems for help to share among a broader audience. It would be cool if you did.

And if you read this far, YOU ;-) To share, participate, vote and support a truly decentralized non-sponsored, people-driven effort. That welcomes everyone to take part. As participant, spectator, curator and commenter.

Interesting work with the transformation of boring 2d space into 3d from the Sumy artist Egor Avdeenko.
In fact this is a flat wall - there are no steps, no doors, no fence. Optical illusion😉

Nice to see you agein, Erika!

I'm glad you decided to run the contest again. Maybe this time curators will be more active.

They have to :-) I'll post an update tomorrow.

Valid

Sorry my apologies I have resteemed and upvoted :)

No problem. I just make sure everyone are treated equal.

Absolutly only fair way to do it

Thank you. The platform easily drowns the good efforts initiated and the most effective way to spread the word is by resteeming. So it had to be a requirement. It also serves as a minimum for your self promotion. You can do more, but that is up to you.

You have my support for an excellent picture!

I'd be strapped to find much graffiti here at the beach, as it's removed as soon as it appears. ;-)

Yeah not to much here but lots in the city

I suppose if I went into Jacksonville I'd see some. I have some from Atlanta from a few years back.

You got my upvote @tattoodjay this is a great bit of street art. Well executed.

Thanks that's very kind of you appreciated

Beautiful !okay.pngUpvoted ^_^

Cool! I have to treat everybody the same.

  • If more images are required, add as many photos you like, but keep it within the same box. *
It was a bit confusing, I thought about comment box...

It might sound confusing, but for exceptional large works, it makes sense. We have seen a few of those and the winner of round #2 had a installation you had to see from different angles to comprehend. So it does make sense. But I might have to look at the wording.

Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by coinkingz from the Minnow Support Project. It's a witness project run by aggroed, ausbitbank, teamsteem, theprophet0, and someguy123. The goal is to help Steemit grow by supporting Minnows and creating a social network. Please find us in the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network (PALnet) Discord Channel. It's a completely public and open space to all members of the Steemit community who voluntarily choose to be there.

If you like what we're doing please upvote this comment so we can continue to build the community account that's supporting all members.

Very cool contest - I guess I'm a bit late but will put in an entry, and am following you now so will know when to ener next time.

Thanks for commenting on my post: https://steemit.com/art/@sift666/painting-in-the-streets

Here is my entry to get started - it's from Kilbirnie, Wellington, New Zealand.

I'll go and do some voting now - awesome entries!

Yes, you are very late. But you made a valid entry! I'll include you when I sum it up in an hour or so.

My bad...It's done now, hope its not too late :)

No, not at all. Everyone does a mistake and I just make sure it is equal for everyone.

Hi, I've signed up is a good proposal thanks @funkit
I'm new so I did not put the photo here

The city where I live

Ah! I see! Thank you!

This one is by the beach called Sola beach, close to the airport, Stavanger area in Norway. Work done by TREF, Theres Refvik. Since the art is done on a bunker by the beach sometimes the art is hidden by sand, depending on the weather. When I took these photos the leg of the girl are hidden. I like the nostalgic look that suits the bunker.

Thank you @funkit for making a new contest!

Stairs in Brataslava Slovokia.

You also have to resteem @fronttowardenemy. Rule 4.

I don't resteem. Please refrain from mentioning my name in future contests if you are going to require resteems.

Fine, I'll remove you.

Thanks man!

I don't know what it is about the resteems that I dislike so much, but I've made a decision to not resteem anything anymore. Best of luck with the contest!

Thank you. You are removed.
