[Week 49] River day with my sweetie

Summer has been full of nice warm days and plenty of outside time so far. I love the sun! We took an opportunity this last week to spend some relaxing time down by the river near our house. We found a nice little sandbar in the sun and spent a few hours basking in the sun and dipping into the water. I usually bring a fold up camping chair and I'll set it up in the river so that I can keep cool. It also keeps me pretty close to my water source, so I'll dip my brush straight into the river when I need water, haha. I tried to catch the way the light was streaming in from over the trees in my first painting and then turned around to paint my sweetie as she was reading her book in the sun.
